Phase Three: Sanding the weld to create the radii and bead
Using emery paper wrapped around a block of wood, I sanded the front of the radii flush with the face of the treadbox. I next wrapped the emery paper around a wooden dowel to create the perfect concave curve of the radius in each upper corner of the tread bays.

The bead was sanded first by hand with emery paper and then with the wooden dowel wrapped in emery paper to achieve the perfect cove.
