Using original publicity photographs, I have been attempting to make a blueprint for first-season spinner posts.

I started a close up from following photograph:

I then cut out the spinner post and placed it over graph paper:

Then, compensating for the distortion of the photograph and also compensating for the fact that the spinner post in the photograph was not facing perfectly forward, I traced the photograph onto the graph paper. Still, I could not get it right, so Craig Reinbrecht came to my rescue with the following drawing.

I have found that the angel of both the horizontal and vertical cones is the same: 81 degrees.

I believe that Craig may have found the correct relative dimentions for the first-season spinner posts.

I will soon hand the spinner post blueprint to my machinst, who will then machine the spinner posts out of solid 2024 aluminum to match my aluminum radar.
